This class introduces the beginning violinist to various musical styles and the proper technics for playing the violin. Students will learn basic music theory including rhythmic notation in addition to reading standard notation. Students should provide their own instruments. We offer regular performing opportunities in the classroom and with 2x yearly formal recitals in our performing hall. Parents are required to attend the younger child's class with the student. The group interaction of the small class facilitates a positive learning environment.

How to Support Your Child Between Classes:
•Reinforce class activities at home with regular practicing. Try for 5-6 days per week. •Attend a makeup class if you missed your regular class. New concepts are introduced weekly. You are also welcome to attend makeup classes if you and your teacher feel the extra class time would be beneficial.
